What We Collect

For each visitor to our Web page, our Web server automatically recognizes the domain name and e-mail address of the consumer (where possible).

I collect the e-mail addresses of those who communicate with us via e-mail, payment information (e.g., credit card number and billing address).

I do collect some sensitive data depending upon the services and treatments you have from me. This information is collected in line with the Professional Association requirements to ensure I carry out treatments in a professional and ethical manner and to perform the contract with you (that is, the services you are requesting). I do not collect information on any criminal convictions.

You can request the information I hold about you and you can choose for this data to be ‘forgotten’ however please be aware that in doing so I may not be able to deliver to perform the contract with you and may have to cancel the service you have ordered. I will notify you at the time of your request.

What We Do With The Information We Gather

I require this information to understand your needs and provide you with a better service, and in particular for the following reasons:

  • We may use the information to improve our products and services.
  • We may periodically send promotional emails about new products, special offers or other information which we think you may find interesting using the email address which you have provided.

I base this on ‘legitimate interests’ in order to provide you with the services I offer.

I collect the data through different methods including:

Direct Interactions: Order my services, subscribe to my newsletter, request further information and marketing resources, attend a workshop, give feedback.

Technology: In using the website we may collecting technical data through the use of Cookies (please see the Cookie Policy) for further details- this can be found at the bottom of the websites.

Third Party and Publicly Available Sources: Analytics provides such as Google based outside the EU, and Aweber provides the ability to inform you through email newsletter, based outside the EU, Twitter, Facebook LinkedIn and YouTube – based inside and outside the EU, Calendly for online booking of my service outside of the EU, Stripe for contact, financial and transactional data outside the EU, Identity and contact data from publicly available sources such as Companies House and the Electoral Role Register based inside the EU.

I will only use your data where legally permitted, with the most common reasons being to perform the contract with me, and where we need to comply with legal or regulatory obligations, and where it’s necessary for our legitimate interests (or those of a third party) and your interests and fundamental rights do not override these interests. I do not rely on consent as a legal basis for processing your personal data with the exception of sending marketing information via email, or text. The way I intent to use your data and the legal grounds for processing data may sit on one or more lawful grounds and legitimate interests have been stated where relevant. I will only used your personal data for the purposes collected unless I reasonably consider that I need to use it for another reason and that reason is compatible with the original purpose. If I need to use your data for a purpose other than for which I collected the data, I will notify you and explain the legal ground for processing.

Some of your personal data may be shared with third parties – Where service providers provide IT and system administration, Professional Advisers (e.g. legal, consultancy, banking, insurance and accounting services), HM Revenue & Customs, regulators and authorities based in the United Kingdom who require reporting of processing activities in certain services.  I only allow such third parties to process your data for specified purposed and in accordance with my instructions.

Your data is held for as long as required for the purpose for collecting, and any legal, accounting and reporting requirements. I determine data retention based on the amount, sensitivity, potential risk of hard from unauthorised use or disclosure of your personal data, the purposes for which I process your data and whether the purpose can be achieved via alternative means and applicable legal requirements.

Legally I have to keep basic information about customers which include contact, identify, financial and transactional data for 6 years after they cease being customers for tax purposes.

The Cowshed Relaxation and Meditation Rooms is committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online. In addition access to your data is limited to employees, agents, contractors and third parties who are on a need to know basis and are subject to a duty of confidentiality. Procedures used deal with any suspected personal data breach and we will notify you and any applicable regulator where I am legally required to do so.

How We Use Cookies
